What is my favorite color you ask? Black!

I am loving all of the colorful trend alerts I am seeing for fall, but there is one thing that I will not change and that is the color that I stick to the most! Black is my favorite and also the one color that I feel most comfortable and confident in. I love mixing in some red or green when I want to wear a powerful or fun color, which if you have seen the new trends for this season you know that will be seen a lot. But by no means will I run out to grab a bunch of pieces in those colors and ditch what I already have!

Why is it my favorite?

Beside the fact that I feel comfy and confident in this color..
I am such a clumsy person (I stay away from white/light colored bottoms for this reason!)
Surprisingly enough it does not wash me out like certain colors
Makes matching an outfit 10 times easier in the morning haha!

Tobi sent me the lightweight and fun Dana Tiered Skater Dress in black (thank god for LBD’s) and I am now feeling extremely lucky, even though it is now officially fall Pittsburgh is still feeling summer heat! It has been in the high 80’s and even surpassed 90 a few days and from the looks of it will stay like this all week. However I am in full blown fall mode! Once I start wearing boots and pulling out my sweaters there is no turning back for me haha! So this dress was an easy way for me to add some over the knee boots for a fall touch, but still be comfy enough in this mini dress and bralette to handle the heat.

Once the temperature starts dropping I can easily add some denim to this look, tucking one side of the dress in to make it look more like a tunic, and add a cute scarf or hat to make it more cold weather appropriate.

What is your favorite color? Comment below!

Stay tuned for more fall posts & for a post specifically on my favorite personal style dresses over denim!

xoxo
